CRREM analysis
CRREM pathways for your portfolio, in minutes.
An interactive tool that runs the Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor (CRREM) methodology on your buildings: the decarbonisation pathway, the stranding year, and the carbon-cost exposure for each asset. Free to start, with a paid tier when you need to run a whole portfolio.

Built by a licensed CRREM partner

Building Atlas is a licensed partner of the CRREM Foundation and sits on its technical committee. We built this tool when the Foundation deprecated its Excel-based platform, so the methodology underneath is the same one the industry already recognises — delivered as software rather than a spreadsheet you have to maintain.
What the tool returns
The standard CRREM outputs, per asset, with the assumptions stated.
Stranding year
The year each asset's carbon intensity crosses the 1.5°C-aligned CRREM pathway, so you can see which buildings strand first.
Decarbonisation pathway
Energy and carbon intensity plotted against the CRREM target curve for the asset's type and country, year by year to 2050.
Excess emissions and cost
The cumulative emissions above the pathway and an indicative carbon-cost exposure, so the risk reads as a number rather than a colour.
Free to try, paid to scale
Start free with stranding curves for any country and property type. Move to the paid tier when you need full analysis graphs, stored portfolios, and team access.

Who it's for
Consultants
Run CRREM for a client portfolio without rebuilding the model in a spreadsheet. Export the pathway and stranding years into your own advice.
Lenders and credit teams
Screen collateral for transition exposure with a recognised, science-based benchmark. Useful where a green-loan covenant references a CRREM pathway.
At transaction
Get a quick, defensible CRREM read on an asset during diligence, before you commit to deeper technical work.
Where it sits alongside the rest of Building Atlas
This is a quick CRREM read, not the full Building Atlas modelling. It answers one question well — how an asset tracks against the CRREM pathway and when it strands — without the costed retrofit measures, scenarios, and sequencing that a Portfolio Plan gives you.
When you need to go from “when does it strand” to “what do we do about it, in what order, for how much”, that is the Portfolio Plan. For a single-asset transaction risk report, see Pulse.
